Item Description

Superb, isolated, gem legrandite crystals to 1.1 cm are very aesthetically set on the flat top and side of the wedge of matrix. The striking leaf-like spray of smithsonite and lavender aurichalcite are a dead giveaway to the Type Locality origin, not Mina Ojuela. The Flor de Pena Mine is a smaller and earlier find in Nuevo Leon, within a completely different location and geology. The gemmy crystals and association are exceptional. Extremely rare in this combination quality. Ex Fred Pough Collection. Valued at $400. Total gem beauty for this material!
