Item Description

A 2.3 cm cluster of beautiful, gem, reddish-orange sphalerite crystals is aesthetically set on the saddle-shaped dolomite rhomb matrix on this excellent combination classic from this famous locale. The transparency and color of the sphalerite is exceptional, as the backlit photos highlight. Some of the finest gem sphalerites in the world come from here and this is a very fine combination example from the Francesco Bedogne Collection # 1510. Dr. Bedogne, 1942-2012, was a well-known Italian mineralogist, prolific author, field collector and collector.
