Item Description

Sculptural, really cute tabular gem tanzanite from recent finds at Merelani. The dramatically decreasing in size multiple terminations, high glassy lustre, striations and minimal internal layering really add pizzazz to this adorable thumbnail. The crystal exhibits classic, textbook pleochroism. The A and B axes are the beautiful, blue and blue-violet. This is indicative of the natural unheated state of color. Pristine. Mass is 28.12 carats or over 5.5 grams. A very aesthetic and excellent gem thumbnail tanzanite crystal. MUCH better in person!
