A superb twinned titanite thumbnail from a VERY RARE locale! This is from the exceptional Alpine and Swiss suite of Ernie Schlicter's private collection. I had bought a selection from him at his home before his passing and the sale of the main collection. The thin, tabular gem crystal has pretty yellow-green color and lightly frosted faces. The twinning plane is visible on the sloping lefthand termination. It is not pristine: The left side is dinged and the lower righthand side is cleaved. But it displays well and this remains a showy and highly representative example of the species and locale. valued $1250
