Gemmy Aquamarine xls (NEW Find)

Item Description

A striking 5.5 cm compound aquamarine crystal dominates this impressive and uncommon small cabinet of densely intergrown aquas from a NEW find at Nagar, Pakistan. The rich ice-blue prisms are very glassy and lustrous and are gemmy translucent to transparent. The exception is the three small more isolated crystals in the front, to 2.0 cm, which are water-clear gem. The form of the tightly intergrown aquas is very sculptural and all of the crystals have interesting modified pinacoidal terminations. Complete all-around and pristine except for out-of-sight basal periphery wear on the back and a bruised secondary termination to the large crystal. The embedded coated feldspar crystals add color and contrast to this rich, fascinating and unusual 360-degree aqua.
