Item Description
Striking, gemmy and highly lustrous, tabular, "electric-blue", azurite blades to 1.3 cm richly and aesthetically cap the starkly contrasting matrix on this excellent thumbnail from recent finds at the Milpillas Mine of Mexico. A bit of edgewear is noted, but is a very modest detraction. These gemmy azurites compare very favorably with the best from Touissit, Tsumeb or Zacatecas. High praise, indeed.
