Item Description
An exquisite, fan-like spray of very gemmy azurite blades beautifully perched atop a mounded sculptural matrix and attended to by a smaller cluster of azurite blades from Touissit, Morocco. The spray is complete all-around and there are very few broken crystals: to clarify, it is something like 18 out of 20 xls pristine. Each side has only one trivial, tiny, small broken crystal only, amidst the flowering. In other words, it is shockingly well preserved. This cutie represents the top tier of azurite thumbnail quality for both aesthetics and crystal gemminess for Touissit. Ex Don Boydston Collection circa late 1960s or 1970s. A large thumbnail, with unique aesthetics, I think $500-750 is not out of line as a value here
