Item Description

A stunning sharp spire of super glassy, gem light yellow calcite is beautifully accented with subtle golden-amber highlights. The crystal is dramatically set upright on the limestone and calcite matrix. Part of the crystal is doubly terminated, which adds even more pizzazz to this beauty. The sharp chisel tip is pristine. The bit of noted embedded limestone and the contact on one face, where another crystal once lay, but with no damage, per se, have negligible impact to the high quality of this impressive 360-degree calcite crystal. Ex Kay Robertson Collection with no number. Kay purchased a selection of Elmwood calcites in the 1980s or 90s and this is an exceptional example of this style.
