Item Description

Celestines from Sakoany are generally considered to be the world's finest examples of the species. Beautiful water-clear to translucent, super glassy, rich ice-blue to colorless crystals with textbook chisel terminations are aesthetically set on matrix. The pristine imposing large crystal is 3.0 cm tall. This is an excellent, showy and rich highly representative example of the species and locale with multiple display possibilities from the Kay Robertson Collection # 10587. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). A beautiful smaller example of this material.
