Item Description
The photos say it well on this piece. A stunning classic gemmy German proustite, featuring a large central crystal measuring 1.4 cm high. Surrounding it are smaller intergrown crystals and calcite. The proustite has the classic silvery luster, "ruby silver", and has a gemmy bright red interior. The large crystal exhibits a well formed termination. Although likely a very old specimen, it has been preserved well. The gemmy translucence is evident in any light. Ex Robert Hauck Collection. Valued at $1800.
