Item Description

A striking, old-time and rare small cabinet scheelite combination from the mid-2000s finds at famed Mt Xuebaoding. A 3.8 cm, sharp, pseudo-octahedral tetragonal scheelite crystal is dramatically set against a jagged, partially euhedral quartz crystal section with a striking striated face on the muscovite substrate. A fabulous, highly desirable gem reddish, golden yellow-orange corner highlights this very glassy, highly lustrous, translucent golden-orange crystal. Scheelite and quartz specimens are very uncommon from Pingwu. Combination specimens of this quality with a gemmy scheelite and large quartz are RARE. The scheelite GLOWS reddish-orange, when backlit! Ghostly white fluorescence. The piece has several super display views. An outstanding and rare combination valued at $2000-2500.
