Item Description

An outstanding example of a sharp floater spessartine garnet trapezohedron from the major 2007-08 find in Tanzania. The gemmy crystal has rich mandarin-orange color, has very few inclusions and has lightly frosted faces. The crystal GLOWS a gorgeous orangey-red color, similar to a Chinese scheelite, when backlit. Mass is 17 grams. Valued at $1800.
