Item Description

Choice, layered crystals of this very rare Arsenic Antimony sulfide. The specimen is rich, and the main crystal, though cleaved, is an outstanding 2 cm long and and .6 cm thick. The color is orange-red, and the resinous luster is superb. As an interesting aside, scientists in Russia were about to name it "Khaidarkanite" when the newly-discovered Getchellite from the Getchel Mine in Nevada was published just before they got to it. This was nearly the Type Locality!
