Item Description

A rarely seen example of the compacted variety of Muscovite called Gilbertite (formerly its own species) associated with beautiful little blue tabular hexagonal gemmy crystals of Apatite on a blocky pinkish-beige colored Orthoclase. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4743). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017). A wonderful old German association specimen.
