Item Description

This well-known Italian locality is noted for rich masses of glaucophane, an uncommon member of the Amphibole Group. The sculptural and vuggy lightweight two-sided specimen is composed solidly of lustrous, metallic gray-blue glaucophane lathes and striking embedded plates of glassy, bright green chrome-rich muscovite variety fuchsite. Rich and classic combination material from the locale. Ex Ted Bartels Collection.
