Gmelinite-Na on Chabazite

Item Description

A very attractive association specimen from the Flinders area in Australia featuring rather lustrous (vitreous), peach-salmon colored, compressed, angular "flying saucer"-shaped crystals of Gmelinite-Na measuring up to 1.6 cm across, sitting on a layer of gemmy, colorless Chabazite on matrix. The high luster of the Gmelinite crystals doesn't come through in the video as much as they do in person, the piece simply looks better when you hold it in your hand. Good quality, no major damage that I can see. These are some of the best examples of crystallized Gmelinite from any world locality.
