Item Description
This is a great display specimen from one of the most storied and well known districts in Colorado. The pegmatites near the Lake George area of Colorado have produced what most collectors and dealers consider to be the finest Amazonite specimens from the standpoint of superb color, top quality, wonderful display specimens and excellent associations. This particular specimen, has no Amazonite, but it is a wonderful display piece featuring sharp, lustrous, golden-brown "sprays" of Goethite. The piece has great aesthetics, and displays very well from a few angles. Keep in mind that this specimen was collected over 25 years ago (July 15, 1983), when Richard Kosnar found some of the best of these specimens Don't miss out on this great Colorado "classic".
