Item Description

A gorgeous small cabinet display specimen featuring beautifully iridescent striking variably-sized Goethite botryoids (up to about 2.8 cm across) cover the sculptural banded green Malachite matrix. Even in low lighting, the lustrous semi-metallic Goethite botryoids have a beautiful range of purple, maroon, orange, yellow-green and pinkish red hues that really catch the eye. From finds of 2016-2017, now hard to obtain an example of. Very aesthetic, and unique in all the world, as we've never seen this particular style of these two minerals together from any other locality. This was a limited find at the Sepon gold and copper mine, which produced world-class azurite specimens earlier in the decade. Valued $1,200.
