Rich mellow gold color on this sculptural, flattened, rounded river-worn gold nugget from the famed Mother Lode. The nugget is from near an obscure extinct former lode Au-Cu-Pb-Ag-Mn mine near the famous Diltz Mine. 66.52 carats or 13.3 grams mass. The current spot gold bullion value is $48.72/gram or $1515.50/troy ounce or $648. California specimen gold of this excellent quality usually sells for 2X spot or $1300.
