A substantial, sculptural, flattened to rounded, river-worn gold nugget with rich gold luster and color from the famous Mother Lode District of California!t. The nuggest has a nubby look and looks like a pair of wings, when viewed horizontally. This is an old-time nugget from a lot, that I recently purchased. The current spot price for gold is over $44 per gram or $1370 per troy ounce. 6.4 grams or a bullion value of over $280. Specimen value for these large nuggets is significantly more, as they are from the old California classic locale.
