Gold nuggets (old CA)

Item Description

A "golden" deal of six, sculptural, flattened, river-worn, gold nuggets from the historic Yuba River placers area. They were mined and kept in a family collection since the 1950s or 1960s, I was told by my source, who sold that particular family collection. They have a rich, mellow-yellow patina and really interesting, curvaceous to nubby forms. Total weight is 5.9 grams. The current gold price is nearly $1319/ounce or over $42/gram. Bullion value is $248. Specimen value is more. For this locality, they are excellent.
