Gold nuggets (old CA - 40.47 carats total mass)

Rich mellow-yellow river-worn alluvial gold nuggets fill a cork-stoppered glass vial from the historic Yuba River placers area. They were mined and kept in a family collection since the 1950s or 1960s, I was told by my source. 40.47 carats or 8 grams total mass. The bulk of the weight is obviously in the gold. The current bullion price is $41.41/gram or $1288/troy ounce. Specimen value is more. For the locality, these is excellent.
