Item Description

Rucklidgeite is a very rare bismuth-lead-telluride and tellurobismuthite is a rare bismuth telluride. The combination of the two with native gold is extremely rare. This combination piece in quartz matrix is from a less well-known British Columbia mine. The blue paper arrow points toward two mirror-silver bright rucklidgeite crystals intergrown with tellurobismuthite. The quartz matrix is peppered with tiny, bright gold microcrystals and the dark gray sulfide appears to be arsenopyrite. Rich gold ore and a rare combination specimen from the Josef Vajdak Collection.
