Gold with Atacamite (rare combo)

Item Description

A striking and rarely seen association specimen featuring brilliant metallic spots of Native Gold which are associated with deep emerald green Atacamite from the La Compañia Mine in Chile. One of the accompanying labels states that there is Boleite present on the specimen, but I can't find it, I only see Atacamite. The combination of Gold with Atacamite is incredibly rare in nature, and I've only seen the two species together from the La Compañia Mine in person, though I suspect they must be found together from at least a few other localities. I love the fact that the Gold on this specimen is not microscopic, you can clearly see it with the naked eye, but I will say that it looks even better under magnification. If you're a fan of native elements, rare associations, or you have a suite of minerals from Chile, this is something is notably rare to find on the market, so don't miss out.
