This is a beautiful and highly aesthetic thumbnail sized specimen of the very rare iron magnesium aluminum phosphate, Gormanite from Linópolis, Brazil. Some of the most eye-catching examples of this mineral came out of a relatively small discovery circa 2007-2008, which produced some of the best Gormanite specimens from any world locality. The piece is a wonderful, three-dimensional group of attractive pastel bluish-green colored Gormanite flaring in multiple directions. This is about as showy and eye-catching as anything I've seen from the locality, and if you're a thumbnail collector or a fan of rare minerals, this is a great opportunity to get your hands on something rarely seen in today's market. From the collection of Shields Flynn.
