An exceptional, large, 2 mm, translucent, waxy luster, golden-amber, goyazite blade is aesthetically set in the middle of sugary dolomite matrix on this very fine specimen from the famous Lengenbach Quarry. A smaller crystal lies nearby. Goyazite is an uncommon hydrated strontium phosphate and this is a superlative example of the species and noted locale. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. Howard started as a mineral dealer at age 13 in 1972, became a sophisticated dealer and died tragically at age 28 in 1987. His collection recently became available to us through his family. valued?
