Grossular is a species of Garnet, and the gems are found in a fairly wide color range, from red to green with various shades in between. Several years ago, we started seeing some beautiful gem quality Grossular Mali, which still stands as one of the great Grossular discoveries in recent years. This material made a big splash on the market producing larger stones with strong colors. This particular stone has a beautiful light greenish-yellow color with virtually eye clean clarity and a standard "Checkerboard Round Brilliant" cut. A nice bright stone for any Garnet collector
