Grossular Garnet (unusually colorless)

Here we have an interesting Grossular Garnet gem from an undisclosed locality in Mexico. The stone is translucent for all intents and purposes, not true gem quality. The color is a soft sandy hue, not the typical shade one would associate with Garnet. It's more of an esoteric reference stone, but if you're a Garnet enthusiast, I'll be you don't have a gem quite like this in your collection. The stone has an "Oval Brilliant" cut.
