Item Description

The Jeffrey Mine produced some truly iconic Garnet specimens, and especially fine crystallized, distinctive, magnificent quality Grossular. This thumbnail sized specimen hosts very sharp, highly lustrous, GEMMY, soft pinkish-orange colored, dodecahedral Grossular crystals which measure up to 6 mm sitting atop a layer of micro green Diopside on matrix. Very little damage. Jeffrey is finished, no more specimens will ever be found, so get these while you can. Ex Charlie Key personal collection. Charlie is arguably the most successful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite).
