Here is another California rarity from the Bob Trimingham Collection. Grossular garnet specimens are EXTREMELY RARE from any locality in the Jacumba District. Highly lustrous, gemmy to translucent, multi-hued golden-yellow to brown, modified dodecahedrons richly cover the sculptural matrix on this showy piece. The impressive large crystals at the top is 2.0 cm. The gemmy, golden-yellow areas really flash in brigtht light. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
