Item Description

A classic Swiss Alpine Garnet featuring several sharp, lustrous, gemmy, rich reddish colored crystals of "Hessonite" Garnet (Grossular Garnet) from this well-known locality in the famous Binn Valley (Binntal). The largest Garnet measures up to 3 mm across and looks beautiful up close. Minor associated green Clinochlore can be seen as well. These are NOT easy to find and if you collect worlwide Garnets or Alpine minerals, don't miss out on this one. The specimen is accompanied by a label from Andre Gorsatt.
