Grossular Garnet w/ Diopside (classic locale)

Item Description

A 1.0 cm, gorgeous rich orange, gemmy, well-striated grossular garnet crystal dominates the piece and highlights the crest of this rich and showy small cabinet plate from the famous and closed Jeffrey Mine. The numerous other intergrown garnets on the plate are pristine or are contacted and are mostly damage free. The scattered contrasting green diopside is a nice contrast and typical accessory. A highly representative example of the famous species and locale.
