Grossular (Hessonite) (ex Rich Kosnar Collection)

A great Italian classic. This specimen hosts reddish orange color, lustrous, gemmy, sparkling, dodechedra (with minor trapezohedral modifying faces) of Hessonite with Clinochlore on matrix. This specimen comes from the famous Alpine collection of Richard Kosnar, and his hand-written label is glued to the base of the piece. Italian Hessonites are truly some of the world's finest for what they are. A nice reference specimen from this locality.
