Item Description
The Italian Alps are probably best known for producing some incredibly good quality Garnet specimens. This specimen hosts beautiful, classic, rich reddish color, lustrous, gemmy, sparkling, dodechedra (with trapezohedral modifying faces) of Hessonite with greenish Clinochlore on matrix. The largest Hessonite crystal measures 6.5 mm across. This locality is famous for these speicmen and they are sought after by Garnet collectors and Alpine collectors in general. A good quality specimen of this well known material.
