Here's a great European Alpine "classic". One of the most recognized associations from the Alps are the beautiful red Grossular and green Clinochlore combinations from Italy. This piece features several superb, sharp, highly lustrous, rich red color dodecahedral crystals with trapezohedral modifications of Grossular (variety: "Hessonite") with green Clinochlore ("Chlorite"). The largest Hessonite measures up to 4 mm. This is a nice miniature specimen for anyone interested in Italian Alpine mineral specimens or worldwide Garnets. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#7684).
