Item Description

When I first saw this material, I thought that that they were some of the most impressive, flashy and colorful specimens of Gypsum I have seen in years. This specimen consists of a "ball" of excellent, razor-sharp, dark golden color, crystals of Gypsum which play host to GEM quality, beautiful golden-yellow color "fish-tail" twins measuring up to 3.8 cm aesthetically flaring out of all sides. This "floater" specimen formed in a calcium clay/sediment and has no point of attachment whatsoever. It's incredibly three-dimensional and looks beautiful from several angles. The color is very attractive for the species as well. The material is typically very fluorescent as well, which is a huge draw for fluorescent collectors! Another important aspect of this specimen is that it is NOT repaired, which makes a difference with this material, as many were glued back together. Don't miss out on what I'm sure will be considered a Canadian "classic" in years to come. Valued at $1,950 in the inventory for size, form, aesthetics and superior quality.
