Gypsum (var: "Selenite")

Item Description

This is a lovely and showy specimen of Selenite from Australia. Glassy, translucent, thin, prismatic golden-orange Gypsum measuring up to 2.7 cm long form a lovely crystallized "spray". Some of the crystals actually show distinct "fishtail" twins! Specimens from Whyalla are not terribly common on the market, and this one is worth picking up. A few crystals have minor bruising, but the piece is in great condition overall.
