Item Description

A striking and aesthetic diverging CABINET spray of glassy gypsum crystals from the famous mines at Naica. Naica produces some of the finest selenite specimens in the world and this is a good. The gypsum blades have grown in a very nifty jackstraw pattern, in all directions, which is evident on both the front and back of the piece. Portions of the blades are preferentially included with iron/manganese oxides, which adds much addtional character. Very, very few broken crystals for such dense coverage of a soft mineral. Ex Dick Heck Collection.
