Item Description

A fine, attractive, intergrown cluster of water-clear, colorless Halite crystals from the classic Racalmuto locality. The largest crystal is 4.3 cm on edge, and the aesthetics of the cluster for both geometry and quality of the Halite is very good. The silky luster gives the Halite a luxurious appearance. As with many gemmy but involved pieces, fully appreciating how good it is by the photos can be tricky. Safe to say this Halite cluster is definitely better in person. Uncommon, choice, and highly representative material from a famous locality, this was #3421 in Kay's collection.
