Item Description

This one of the finest Hausmannites that I have offered on the site, let alone the auction. The tetragonal pyramids, .6 cm on edge!, are razor-sharp and super-lustrous. One of the truly great things about the specimen is that pyramids retain their individuality. They are not intergrown like you see on many Hausmannites. This is an exceptional specimen, not only for the quality of the Hausmannite crystals but the fine geometric combination that you find it in. It looks like a fancy brooch - you could imagine it being pinned on a dress shirt as a badge of honor for some military order, it is so intricate and fancy looking I believe that the spherical pink crystals are Calcite - note sure. The pics are good, but the piece is even better in person. IT REALLY IS SUPERB. Valued $1000-1500
