Item Description
This is a colorful combination specimen of Hausmannite with associated minerals to contrast, from the famous N'Chwaning I Mine. The display face includes reddish Andradite Garnet and White Calcite. The pseudo-octahedral crystals of Hausmannite are striated - these are mirror-smooth, black, and fine. The crystals are up to about 6 mm on edge, and they richly cover the specimen. Pagoda-like Hausmannite to 1.5 cm. Old material from the 1980s or late 1990s finds here.
