Hausmannite on Pink Datolite

These are nice enough, sharp, jet-black hausmannite crystals arranged in a beautiful pagoda-like structure - BUT even better is the fact that they are sitting in pink datolite! I had never seen this association, before getting Charlie's collection of rare species miniatures from this region. The contrast is stunning, and totally unexpected. I cannot think of another similar metallic species on pink anything. He had only a handful, of which this was one of the better miniatures. Valued $1250-1500
