A wonderful, showy thumbnail specimen featuring excellent, razor-sharp, highly lustrous, jet-black, pseudo-octahedral Hausmannite crystals associated with soft pinkish-tan colored Andradite Garnet and a few gemmy colorless Calcite crystals from the famous N'Chwaning Mines in South Africa. The Hausmannites are almost stacked like a pagoda tower. These are good quality crystals of this now hard to find material. This piece is at least 15 years old. If you collection minerals of the Kalahari Manganese Field, worldwide oxides or simply fine crystallized examples of minerals, this is a great piece to add to your collection. This isn't a "black rock", but an excellent piece of a species that is rarely seen in god specimens from most world localities. From the collection of Shields Flynn with a label from Ernie Schlichter.
