Elba Hematites are some of the most distinctive and fine quality examples of the species from any locality, not only from Europe, but around the world.. This miniature sized piece hosts excellent quality, sharp, bladed, metallic crystals of Hematite measuring up to 2.9 cm which are sitting on minor matrix to create a very three-dimensional display piece. My favorite aspect of the piece is that the Hematite crystals show a wonderful multicolor peacock iridescence on the surface. It's hard to convey the quality in the photos/video, but take my word for it, this is a very nice piece of this classic material. There is a bit of damage, and a few of the Hematites are broken, but overall it's still a showy and eye-catching example of this classic material, and it's really aesthetic to boot!
