Item Description

A rarely seen a good quality "iron rose" of Hematite from this lesser known Brazilian locality. Beautiful metallic, sharp, well-formed, tabular silvery-grey colored hexagonal crystals of Hematite forming the classic shape that is often seen from localities in the Swiss Alps, and not typically from Brazil. It's a robust piece with good crystals on every side, and despite some broken crystals, it's still good quality and showy. Some of the crystals are highly splendent, while others have a matte reddish-brown oxidation in areas. The largest crystal measures 6.5 cm at its longest dimension. If you collect Brazilian minerals, Hematites or are in the market for a showy cabinet display specimen from an obscure locality, this one's for you.
