Hematite-tinted Apophyllite (rare)

Item Description

Hematite-tinted apophyllite crystals from any locality in India are very rare. Lustrous, brick-red hematite includes glassy, blocky, apophyllite crystals to a maximum depth of about 7 mm on this showy and rare specimen from Jalgaon. The hematite-tinted field is in excellent shape. Periphery wear is noted, but is a modest detraction to this excellent, unusual rarity.
