Item Description

The face of this fat, euhedral, hematite crystal is mirror-bright and has stepped-growth plates. The front has just a couple of small clusters, but the back of this excellent two-sided crystal is richly covered with super-sparkly, gemmy, reddish-orange, andradite garnet microcrystals. This hematite is from the famous Wessels Mine. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. Some of the faces are contacted, but there is very little damage, per se. Ex Charlie Key dealer stock. Classic material, now seldom seen. Valued $600.
