Item Description

A cool association specimen from recent collecting at the Mfouati Mine. The piece features sparkling white group of Hemimorphite which have replaced preexisting crystals of Cerussite, forming hollow "casts" (perimorphs/epimorphs), which have a gentle yellow colored "dusting" of Mimetite, sitting on a layer of slightly bluish-grey colored Hemimorphite on oxidized matrix. The "casts" look beautiful up close, as you can see the small hollow openings on some of the exposed crystals. This is certainly different from anything I can remember seeing from the locality. If you collect pseudomorphs/"casts", secondary ore minerals or you just like pieces from the Mfouati Mine, don't miss out on this beautiful and certainly hard to find piece. This specimen was collected circa 2020-2021.
