Item Description

A great small cabinet sized display piece of this well known material. Some of the world's most recognizable and classic Hemimorphite specimens have come from Mexico. These specimens are some of the most aesthetic and eye catching pieces from this Ojuela. This specimen features good sized, translucent, sharp, lustrous, prismatic crystals and "sheaves" of white Hemimorphite on Limonite matrix. The largest Hemimorphite measures 2.5 cm long, good sized for the material. For the size, good quality and overall aesthetics of this specimen, it is a great Mexican display piece from this classic locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#340). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
