Although Hemimorphite is found in various worldwide localities, good pieces are rare from the famous Franklin Mining District in New Jersey. This piece features micro, well-formed, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, colorless bladed crystals of Hemimorphite on Dolomite on matrix. The piece came to Rich Kosnar from his mentor, noted New Jersey collector Frances Patricia "Pat" Gross, and her original mounting box accompanies the piece with a label that states it was collected in 1954. A cool specimen of this classic material.
